GLOSSARY
point
appears in 3 paper titles
Definition
On its own in a title, point nearly always signals point cloud: an unordered set of 3D coordinates produced by LiDAR or depth sensors. Because those points sit on no regular grid, they call for architectures that are permutation-invariant rather than convolutions over pixels. The word also lives inside unrelated compounds — floating point, checkpoint, saddle point — so read its neighbours before deciding.
