navigation

Definition
Getting from where you are to a goal by moving through an environment. It is the core task of embodied AI, split into settings by how the goal is specified: coordinates (point-goal), a target object to find (object-goal), or a natural-language route description (vision-and-language navigation), each measured in simulators. The word is also used for agents traversing web pages, where moving means clicking through a UI.
