GLOSSARY
future
appears in 1 paper titles
Definition
Referring to what has not happened yet — the target of any forecasting or planning setup, as in future trajectories, future frames, future reward. Its presence in a title signals that the model is given a past and asked to extrapolate, a harder problem than reconstruction because the answer is not determined by the input. Unrelated to futures in concurrent programming, which are placeholders for pending results.
