zero-resource

Definition
Operating with no external resource — no reference corpus to check against, no extra labelled data, no retraining. In hallucination detection it names the realistic case where you cannot assemble a ground-truth knowledge base, so the only available evidence is the model's own outputs. Do not conflate it with zero-shot, which is about giving no examples in the prompt.
