GLOSSARY
vague
appears in 1 paper titles
Definition
Underspecified: a goal or instruction whose success condition has not been pinned down, so several readings are defensible. In agent work this is the practical bottleneck — real requests arrive vague, and systems are judged on whether they ask a clarifying question or silently guess. It shades into ambiguous, but vagueness is about fuzzy boundaries — how much counts as done — rather than a choice between distinct meanings.
