transferable

Definition
Carrying over from the setting where something was learned to a different one. The central case is representations: features acquired during pre-training remain useful for downstream tasks, which is the entire premise of the pre-train-then-adapt paradigm. The word has a darker use in adversarial work, where an input crafted against one model often fools another it was never designed for — transferability as a security problem.
