GLOSSARY
think
appears in 2 paper titles
Definition
Producing intermediate reasoning before answering rather than emitting a conclusion immediately. The lineage runs from prompting a model to think step by step, through chain-of-thought, to models trained to spend more computation at inference time. Read it operationally, as a claim about computation rather than resemblance to human thought — and note that reasoning models may keep that computation internal or expose only a summary, so it is not always visible.
