Definition

The task of generating an image from a written prompt, abbreviated T2I. Diffusion models made it practical, and the open question shifted from raw image quality to faithfulness: whether the picture actually reflects the counts, spatial relations and attribute bindings the prompt asked for. Distinguish it from image-to-image editing and from text-to-video, which differ in what goes in and what comes out.
