GLOSSARY

systematic

appears in 1 paper titles

Definition

"Systematic" is a claim about method, not results: the authors fixed a protocol — search scope, inclusion criteria, evaluation axes — before looking, and covered the space instead of cherry-picking. It appears in systematic reviews and in systematic studies of a phenomenon. Treat it as a promise the paper must cash out; one that never states its exclusion rules is only calling itself systematic.
