GLOSSARY
stable
appears in 1 paper titles
Definition
Not blowing up: a run whose loss does not spike, gradients that stay bounded, outputs that do not swing wildly under small input perturbations. At scale, instability is one of the main practical obstacles, which is why normalization schemes, learning-rate schedules, and numerical precision get argued about in these terms. The word also appears as a brand — Stable Diffusion — where it is a name, not a claim about training dynamics.
