GLOSSARY
spatiotemporal
appears in 1 paper titles
Definition
Spanning both space and time at once. In video understanding and driving perception, what an object is and where it will be depend on motion across frames as much as on any single frame's appearance, so the term marks architectures that model both axes jointly rather than running a per-frame spatial model and aggregating afterwards. The contrast is with purely spatial image models on one side and purely temporal time-series models on the other.
