GLOSSARY
sources
appears in 1 paper titles
Definition
The origins of an observed signal. In brain imaging, sensors outside the head record a mixture, and estimating which locations inside produced it — source localisation — is an ill-posed inverse problem, so any solution rests on strong assumptions. Do not confuse this sense with the everyday one of sources as references or data provenance; both occur in the same papers.
