GLOSSARY
score-based
appears in 1 paper titles
Definition
Describes methods built around the score — the gradient of the log density with respect to the input — rather than the density itself, which sidesteps the intractable normalizing constant. Learning the score lets you sample by following it with injected noise, and writing diffusion as a continuous-time stochastic differential equation shows the two views are the same construction. Note the word has nothing to do with scoring or grading here.
