GLOSSARY
scene

Definition
A 3D setting treated as a single unit: the objects, their layout, materials, lighting, and camera. It is the working unit of reconstruction, generation, and simulation. What separates a scene from an image is viewpoint independence — a scene holds enough spatial information to be re-rendered from a camera position never observed, whereas an image is one fixed projection of it produced by rendering.
