Definition

Holding up under perturbation — noise, distribution shift, unusual inputs, or deliberate adversarial manipulation. Average accuracy and robustness are different properties: a model can top a benchmark and still fail on lightly corrupted versions of the same data. Any robustness claim is only meaningful relative to a stated threat or shift model, so look for what variation was actually tested.
