GLOSSARY

resolution

appears in 1 paper titles

Definition

The pixel dimensions of an image or video — how much detail the input carries. It is a first-order cost knob for vision models: more pixels means more patch tokens, and attention grows quadratically in token count, so the ability to read small text or fine texture is bought directly with compute. Video adds temporal resolution, the frame rate. The everyday sense, settling a dispute, is unrelated.
