Definition
The plural of repository — the unit in which real software is organized and versioned. In agent and code-model research the word signals a specific difficulty level: repository-level tasks require understanding cross-file dependencies, build configuration, and conventions that no single file reveals, which is why they separate models that pattern-match snippets from ones that can navigate a codebase. It also carries the broader sense of a store for artefacts or datasets.
