rectified

Definition

Literally "straightened", but applied to two different things. In rectified linear unit it means clipping negatives to zero, borrowing the term from electrical rectification. In rectified flow it means straightening the transport path from noise to data so that the trajectory is closer to a line, which allows generation in far fewer integration steps. Read what is being rectified — a value or a trajectory — before assuming which sense applies.
