GLOSSARY

real

appears in 2 paper titles

Definition

In titles, real marks a contrast with the controlled setting a method was developed in: real-world data is noisy, incomplete, and full of cases the design never anticipated, and methods that win on curated benchmarks often degrade there. Calling a result real is a claim about deployment conditions, not about correctness. Note that real-time is a separate sense entirely — latency, not authenticity.
