Retrieving a value from memory, storage, or a model's context. In security papers reading is the payload of the attack — the title states exactly which region becomes readable, because crossing a privilege boundary to read is often the entire result. Distinguish it from reading comprehension, an NLP task about understanding text rather than accessing bytes.
