GLOSSARY
preserving
appears in 1 paper titles
Definition
Used as a suffix meaning the named property survives the transformation: privacy-preserving computation, structure-preserving networks, semantics-preserving code edits. It states a constraint the method holds to, and the interesting question is always what it costs — utility given up for privacy, expressiveness given up for structure. It never means "saving to disk", despite the overlap with the storage sense of preserve.
