GLOSSARY
predictive
appears in 1 paper titles
Definition
Describes methods whose core mechanism is forecasting something not yet observed — the next frame, the next token, a masked patch, a future state. In representation learning and control the prediction is not the product but the training signal: forcing a model to predict forces it to encode structure. It is a methodological label, not a claim about accuracy.
