GLOSSARY
open
appears in 7 paper titles
Definition
Two families of meaning. One is availability — open-source, open-weight — though what is actually released varies widely: weights only, weights plus code, rarely the training data, under licenses ranging from permissive to heavily restricted. The other is unboundedness: open-ended tasks have no single correct answer, and open-world settings include categories or situations not fixed in advance.
