one-shot

Definition
Done in a single pass, with no iteration or retraining. In compression it claims that pruning or quantization is applied once and the model is immediately usable — valuable precisely because retraining a hundred-billion-parameter model is not an option for most groups. Do not confuse it with one-shot learning, an unrelated sense meaning generalization from a single labeled example.
