Definition

A colloquial shortening of neural networks, most durable inside architecture names — ConvNets, ResNets, capsule nets. In formal prose the full word is standard, so seeing nets usually means either you are inside a coined name or the register is deliberately informal. It carries no technical distinction from networks.
