multi-view

Definition

A setting where one underlying entity is observed through several channels or angles, and the method exploits their agreement. Sometimes the views are literal viewpoints — multiple cameras reconstructing 3-D geometry — and sometimes they are modalities or disjoint feature sets describing the same object. The defining assumption is correspondence: each view is a partial, differently-corrupted look at one shared thing, which is what makes cross-view consistency a usable training signal.
