GLOSSARY

multi-turn

appears in 2 paper titles

Definition

A setting where the interaction runs over several exchanges rather than a single prompt and reply. It stresses things single-turn benchmarks cannot see: staying consistent with what was said earlier, following an instruction that changes mid-conversation, and deciding what from a long history still matters. Models that score well on one-shot tasks often degrade here, drifting from earlier constraints or over-agreeing with a user who is wrong.
