Definition

Used when an output leads a reader to a wrong conclusion, which is broader than being factually wrong: a confident tone, selective evidence, or a plausible-looking chain of reasoning can mislead while every individual statement holds. In titles it usually signals a critical result — that a popular metric, benchmark, or explanation gives a false impression of what a system actually does.
