Definition

The gerund of look, most useful as a signal about genre. Titles built on "looking for" or "a closer look at" usually announce an investigation of an existing phenomenon — a re-examination, an audit of a benchmark — rather than a new method. In vision and attention work the word can instead be literal, describing where in an image a model directs its processing.
