Definition

The boundary between two systems and the conventions governing what crosses it. In agent work this means the concrete surface a model is given: which commands exist, how their output is formatted, how errors are reported, how much of a file it sees at once. Papers keep finding that tightening this surface moves results as much as changing the model, because it determines what mistakes are even possible.
