implicitly

Definition
Achieving an effect inside a learned computation rather than through an explicit intermediate step. In 3D perception it describes handling geometry without a separate depth-estimation module, which avoids compounding errors from a hand-built pipeline but removes the place you could have inspected. Claims that something is handled implicitly are worth checking against a probing experiment, since the alternative explanation is that it is not being handled at all.
