GLOSSARY

human-centric

Definition

Two distinct senses share this word. In computer vision, human-centric names the cluster of tasks where people are the subject — detection, pose estimation, re-identification, action understanding — and papers use it to claim one model spanning all of them. In systems and HCI work it instead means human needs define success rather than a benchmark score. The first is about data, the second about evaluation philosophy.
