The plural of group in the algebraic sense, used when a paper compares the symmetry groups of several domains at once — translations for images, rotations and translations for molecules, permutations for sets. The plural is a signal that the argument is about a family of architectures rather than one. Do not confuse it with the unrelated "groups of channels" in group normalisation or grouped convolution.
