Produced by a model rather than by a person. The word shows up in two live debates: using generated (synthetic) data as training material, where it is cheap and unlimited, and detecting or attributing generated content. The standing caveat is that generated data inherits the biases and errors of the model that made it, so scaling it up amplifies whatever that model got wrong.
