GLOSSARY
forgets
appears in 1 paper titles
Definition
The active-voice counterpart of forgetting: the paper asserts that training on something new measurably destroyed an older capability. It often appears in a "learns X but forgets Y" construction, whose point is that the two happen together and the trade stays invisible unless somebody retests the old task. The mechanism is weight overwriting during optimization, not decay over time.
