Definition
A method for fine-tuning language agents on trajectories collected from multiple tasks and multiple prompting methods, rather than from a single agent format. Training on ReAct-style thought-and-action traces moves the procedure from the prompt into the weights, so a smaller fine-tuned model can act competently without a long scaffolding prompt. It belongs to the line of work arguing agents should be trained, not only prompted.
