GLOSSARY
fields

Definition
A function assigning a value to every point in a space — density, color, or signed distance. Neural fields represent that function with a network instead of a discrete grid, so the representation is continuous and its size does not scale with resolution. This is the physics sense, not the everyday "field of research" sense that also appears in papers.
