Definition

A family of open-weight large language models released by TII in the UAE, published at several parameter scales and trained primarily on the web-derived RefinedWeb corpus. It was one of the early non-US open-weight releases to be taken seriously as a base for fine-tuning. The word itself is a bird of prey; capitalisation is the clue that a given occurrence is the model, not the animal.
