faith

Definition

Belief or fidelity, appearing in this field mostly as the root of faithfulness: whether an explanation actually reflects the computation that produced the output, or whether a summary is true to its source. The crucial distinction is against plausibility — a chain of thought can read as convincing while having no causal relationship to the answer, so human-rated helpfulness is not evidence of faithfulness.
