evolving

Definition

Describes a system that keeps changing after deployment instead of being frozen at training time. In agent papers it usually points to self-evolving setups where the prompt, the tool set, the stored memory, or even the agent's own code is rewritten in response to what happened on previous runs. Note the contrast with ordinary learning: what evolves here is the scaffolding around the model, not its weights.
