Definition

A coined name from "env" (environment) plus "harness", the usual word for scaffolding that runs code under controlled conditions. It denotes infrastructure that spins up agent environments, executes rollouts against them, and collects results uniformly. In agent research this plumbing shapes the numbers as much as the method does, which is why harnesses now get published as artifacts in their own right.
