Definition
Said of a generated 3D scene or virtual world you can walk into and move around in, rather than only view from outside. The bar is higher than for image or fixed-path video generation: geometry has to stay consistent under free viewpoint motion, and regions never observed from the original view must be filled in plausibly. It matters for immersive content and as a source of environments for embodied agents.
