An OCR-free document understanding model from NAVER CLOVA; the name stands for Document Understanding Transformer. A vision encoder reads the page image and a text decoder emits a structured result — typically JSON for a receipt or form — in a single pass, with no recognition stage in between. It leans heavily on synthetic documents for pre-training. Nothing to do with the pastry.
