GLOSSARY
diffusion-based

Definition
A qualifier marking that a system generates by reversing a noising process, as opposed to autoregressive decoding, GANs, or flows. It places work in a lineage, and that lineage now extends well past images into video, audio, molecular structures, language, and robot policies. The label alone fixes very little: noise schedules, parameterizations, and samplers vary widely between diffusion-based systems.
