Spans or includes a given range. It shows up in dataset and benchmark descriptions to state breadth — this suite covers 40 languages, this benchmark covers six task families — and the noun form, coverage, is often reported as a metric in retrieval and testing. Note that covering something says only that it is present, not how deeply it is represented; breadth claims routinely conceal a long tail of thin coverage.
