GLOSSARY
compromising

Definition
In security writing this is the transitive verb meaning to breach — to take control of a system, an account, or a key. Papers on LLM applications use it for the moment an attacker's text displaces the operator's instructions, typically through indirect prompt injection. Do not read it as the everyday sense of making concessions: compromising a system means the system has been taken, not that anyone settled for less.
