GLOSSARY
coding
appears in 6 paper titles
Definition
In most current papers this means programming — writing and editing source code, as in "coding agent" or "coding benchmark". The older information-theoretic sense survives in fixed phrases like sparse coding and predictive coding, where it means encoding data into some representation. The neighbouring words almost always disambiguate: a coding assistant writes software, while a coding scheme compresses signals.
