code

Definition

Program source code, treated both as training data and as an evaluation domain. Code is unusually valuable for measuring model ability because correctness can be checked mechanically by running tests, rather than judged by human preference. Be aware of the other sense of the word: in information theory a code is a scheme for representing data, as in "sparse coding" — context normally makes clear which is meant.
