GLOSSARY
bridging
appears in 2 paper titles
Definition
A title formula — bridging the gap between X and Y — claiming that two separately developed lines of work, or two settings with a performance gap between them, have been connected. It is rhetoric rather than terminology, so the useful question is how much of the gap actually closed and under what conditions. Frequent pairings: simulation and reality, open and closed models, vision and language.
