aware

Definition

A suffix-style modifier meaning "designed with X explicitly taken into account": IO-aware, hardware-aware, uncertainty-aware, latency-aware. The word before it names what the design accounts for, and the implicit contrast is with a naive implementation that ignores it. It does not attribute awareness to the model in any cognitive sense — it says the factor is baked into the algorithm, the objective, or the memory layout.
